Your Contribution to the TEAM

Our draftsmen work alongside a wide range of team members to turn conceptual ideas into technical plans. You will never be bored as part of a larger team of in-house designers, engineers, and project development leaders. Focusing on a large range of projects, varying from commercial developments to luxury homes, is what we do every day.

A successful team member within this role will be proficient at gathering project specifications and calculating material and equipment requirements while understanding codes and development standards. The ideal candidate will possess CAD design skills as it relates to the construction industry and have experience in “Chief Architect”.

Ultimately, you will be part of the team helping develop northeast Indiana and work on projects from the conceptual phases through to completion. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside the most respected licensed professionals in northeast Indiana.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD/Chief Architect software.
• Post-secondary education in architectural drafting and/or architectural design, or substantial relevant and demonstrable experience is required.
• Relevant drafting and design experience, including work in both remodeling and new construction, for commercial and residential projects, is a plus.
• Additional skills in Revit or other modeling/rendering software are a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, or other graphic editing programs will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and assemblies is required.
• Actual construction experience will be considered advantageous.
• Understanding /awareness of building science and energy-efficient construction techniques is important.
• Good graphic sensibility to arrange, draw, scale, and represent plans and details in a legible, useful, and tidy manner is required. Applicants should be able to identify and provide relevant examples of their work.
• National, State & Local Building Code knowledge is preferred.

• A production and coordination of design development specialist.
• A detail-oriented individual capable of reviewing and documenting project progress.
• A research-driven individual able to apply information regarding to products/materials, code/zoning, and other building-related topics to your daily work.
